Credit for the original design must go to David Smithers and his entry in a competition at the West London Meccano Society last year and shown at the South East London Meccano Club in January 2003.
This is my version, improved and reconstructed to reduce friction as far as possible. It is powered by a weight of 453g of Meccano parts coupled to a winch drum by a length of cord around the head pulley.
The model could be developed further given time and experiments.
