Steam Engine

This large model is based upon SML 11A and SML 32 put together, and made smaller. The original was built by Rob Beijersbergen in Holland, and was shown at the North East London Meccano Club show in December 2009, powered by a motor supplied by Dave Taylor.

This version uses the Meccano E20R motor and different reduction gearing to the original.

I found the model went together very well and I enjoyed building it. It performs very well too and makes a great exhibition piece.
