Models built for the 'Tunnels' Secretary's Challenge
The Challenge:
This Challenge celebrates the fact that 2018 was designated 'The Year of Engineering' by the UK government. The London Transport Museum marked it with two new exhibitions that took visitors behind the scenes to discover how engineers shape the world around us - 'Digging Deeper' and 'The Secret Life of a Megaproject' (i.e. Crossrail, which, for our foreign members who may not know, is a new mainline railway line, a lot of which is in tunnels under the centre of London). The challenge, therefore, is to build a model which has something to do with tunnels.
