The Elastic Band Powered Models Secretary’s Challenge
This Challenge took place at our June 2008 Meeting
This Challenge was from an idea that Geoff Carter gave our Secretary. It was to build a model that is powered by an elastic band and it had to be one of those red ones postmen regularly drop on the pavement. Meccano driving bands were not allowed and definitely no motors.
Whether the elastic band propels the model along or just moves something on the model was left up to our members. With a few entries of the former we had a race across the floor to see which one travelled the furthest.
