Models built for the 'London Underground Map' Secretary's Challenge
This will be our third Big Challenge. The first one, in 2013, was to build trains to run on O gauge track; the second, in 2015, was to construct a model village.
I haven't been overwhelmed by ideas, so I'm going with mine, which is to build a large portion of the London Underground map.
I will divide the map up into squares, so that each member who takes part will construct their own section, the idea being that we can join them up when we bring them to the Easter meeting. The squares will be 12½" across, and each line on the map will be a standard Perforated Strip in, hopefully, the correct colour for the Underground line in question.Don't worry if you are slightly confused - I'll bring my own square of the map along to the January 2017 meeting so you can see the idea.
Lego built their own map in 2013 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the London Underground; let's see if we can do better!
