Built for the The Great Fire of London Secretary's ChallengeFire Engine

Built by Les Chatfield in September 2016

I never realised that fire engines had such a long history until I researched the Great Fire of London, discovering this charming-looking 17th-century device pictured in a newspaper recently. It could pump eight pints of water for every stroke, and the hose appears to attach to the central rod/pipe in the oval drum. A very enjoyable build.
