Farm Tractor and Hay Rake

This is based closely on the model in the November 1952 issue of Meccano Magazine.
Though an attractive looking model, I had difficulty getting the steering to work, as it didn’t say in the instructions which holes to bolt the Angle Brackets to the side of the № 1 clockwork motor, which drives the model, to support the steering column! Its lower end carries a ½” Bevel Gear, which meshes, at an angle, back to front, with a horizontal 1½” Bevel Gear — hardly good engineering, but it does work!
I substituted Spoked Wheels for 2” Pulleys and Tyre on the Hay Rake, as I thought they looked more appropriate.
