Side-Lever Engine

This is a close copy of one of the models featured in part 2 of British Marine History in Meccano, a series of six articles published in the Meccano Magazine from March to August 1934.
The original model has been copied closely in this re-build. Some minor modifications have been made, and use has been made of parts which were not available at that time (e.g. rod and strip connector, flexible plates).
The model has been motorised using a cassette-recorder motor hidden in the box which represents the condenser. The model works well, no problems being encountered during construction!
