MeccanOlympics Push-Of-War Vehicle
Built by Brian Leach in June 2012 for the Olympic Games Secretary’s Challenge
This model uses a № 1 clockwork motor, and is unfortunately slightly too big for the 4½” competition class.
It has four-wheel drive with four 1” tyred pulleys for each wheel. The gear reduction is about 45:1 so it moves very slowly.
It weighs 1.05kg and can push items heavier than itself (1.3kg).
In the competition it came joint last out of 6 models. It needed a higher reduction ratio, lets say 90:1, and needs to be a lot heavier, 3kg or more.
