Tiny Helicopter

This little beauty (at about 1:87 or HO scale) is along the lines of Bernard Perier’s ‘Flying Banana’ model in Constructor Quarterly issue 57 (September 2002).
It is roughly based on the US Marine Corps CH-46 ‘Sea Knight’ helicopter, their workhorse to carry up to 25 Marines (note the rear loading ramp!).
Most parts were cut to size from Army Multikit strips; but it’s all Meccano (even the cockpit glazing bars bent to shape) except for the bulkhead behind the pilot’s seat.
