The Meccano solution to the energy crisis…
All you have to do is to dig a small oil well in your back garden: Cap it with a wind generator which will power a pump to lift the oil. The oil is then refined , leaving gas for cooking, petrol for your car, and heavy oil to run the boiler… which runs the steam engine… which runs a generator to produce bags of electricity.
Finally, with the money you save, you can move to a more pleasent house which has no ugly machinery clogging its garden!
