Chariot and Driver
Built by Adrian Ashford in September 2009 for the Military Models Secretary’s Challenge
A chariot and driver from the 1954–61 № 2 outfit manual, the outfit with which I began my Meccano career in 1957!
The only changes from the original are the use of obtuse angle brackets (there were none in this outfit), instead of fishplates, for the ears and tail, and an extra tinplate road wheel (only one in the outfit) for the chariot wheels, in place of 1” pulleys and tyres.
