Jumbo Crane
Built by Brian Elvidge in June 2006 for the 1976 Manual Models Secretary’s Challenge
The model was taken from the Meccano Magazine Quarterly July 1976.
It is operated by hand. The model is built with a Set 5 of the 1970 series and uses most of the supplied parts. It is well designed and works well. It features a nice steering system, has jib luffing and hoisting motions.
