The version in the photograph predates the version that was brought to the meeting.
It differs chiefly in that the the parts used and design details more closely resemble those in the 1954–61 Instruction Manual ref 7.9.
For the later version 2½” x 2½” Flat Plates (72) replaced 2 of the 3½” x 2½” Flanged Plates (53) as these were all used up in building the Secretary’s Challenge model at the same meeting. In addition, details of the construction had to be changed so that the press ram would actually move!
