Gantry Crane
Built by Les Chatfield in April 2023
This crane was my attempt at a model not dominated by large motors. I also scaled it to match the braced girder.
It was going to have a driver’s cab mounted on the gantry but I fitted it with a ground ‘remote control’ using mini toggle switches. The motors are incredibly tiny geared motors from China. It is very silent in operation.
